The seller is SSR Communications Inc., headed by Matthew Wesolowski.
Marie Perkins is the principal of the buyer, which will be shelling out $55K cash to add WWUU to its local collection of stations.
The move from 103.9 MHz to 101.1 MHz by Washington MS-licensed WWUU will be accompanied by a power increase from 255 W to 6 kW (both from 328’ HAAT), giving it a much better signal. Both provide good coverage of Natchez.
The crown jewel of the cluster is Class C WQNZ-FM, which boasts 100 kW @ 719’ on 95.1 MHz. Also in the cluster is WNAT-AM, a Class A on 1450 with l kW-U, ND; and KZKR-FM Jonesville LA, a Class A on 105.1 MHz with 900 W @ 817’ and a contour located just to the northwest of Natchez.
The Natchez market is in unrated territory, southwest of Jackson MS and northeast of Alexandria LA without being particularly close to either.
