Here’s What To Expect At NATPE Miami

MIAMI — The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) is gearing up for one of its biggest-ever conferences, with a session with top Wall Street analysts on the future of the media industry primed to be a top highlight of the upcoming NATPE MIAMI Marketplace and Conference.


The global event for the broadcast and cable TV industries begins Jan. 16 and concludes Jan. 18 at the Fontainebleau and Eden Roc Miami Beach Resorts, located adjacent to each other in the mid-beach area of Miami Beach.

“This year’s conference is loaded with speakers and topics which are shaping today’s ecosystem to stay ahead of this changing industry,” notes NATPE President/CEO JP Bommel. “We have created enhanced networking opportunities and built a marketplace which is driven by opportunities to solidify deals through concrete takeaways.”

Participating as panelists for a session titled View from the Street: How Investors Interpret Change in the Media Industry are Managing Director and Head of Media Research at Morgan Stanley Benjamin Swinburne; Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Alexia Quadrani; MoffettNathanson Partner and Media Analyst Michael Nathanson; and Macquarie Cable, Satellite & Entertainment Equity Research Analyst Amy Yong.

Serving as moderator is the Head of Lionsgate Investor Relations, James Marsh.

NATPE MIAMI will also be home to the 15th annual Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Awards on Wednesday, Jan. 17. SiriusXM host and veteran journalist Maria Menounos serving as host.

Also set for NATPE MIAMI is a discussion with cultural icon and 2018 Legacy Award recipient Jane Fonda, who just celebrated her 80th birthday; a station group form set for Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 17, that will include discussion on “how to make the most out of ATSC 3.0” and a leadership debate on station group consolidation.

Among the confirmed attendees for NATPE MIAMI are Futuri CEO Dan Anstandig.

Olympusat President/CEO Tom Mohler will deliver a Global Keynote on the closing day of NATPE MIAMI.
