Part of the league’s ongoing initiative to introduce basketball to young people, the new series encourages health and fitness for kids and families and features a roster of NBA stars. Showing what it takes for an NBA player to train for optimal performance on the court, it’s hosted by Daniel Curtis Lee (“Zeke and Luther”). NBA Fit includes Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers, Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets, Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls, and Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat, among others.
Produced by NBA Entertainment, it premieres Friday 4/29 (4:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney XD, followed by multiple presentations throughout the week. Coinciding with the premiere, Disney XD will present a day of sports-themed programming, including episodes of “Pair of Kings” (2:00-4:00 p.m., ET/PT) and “Phineas and Ferb” (4:15-5:00 p.m., ET/PT).
