NBC cheers Chuck and Grimm on Friday

Friday Primetime Results:
 
* At 8 p.m. ET, “Chuck” (1.1/3 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall) hit season highs in 18-49 and total viewers.  Week to week, “Chuck” is up 22 percent in both adult 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.9) and total viewers (3.848 million vs. 3.167 million).  Keep in mind that on average this season, “Chuck” originals have been adding 40 percent to their next-day “live plus same day” 18-49 rating when Nielsen reports additional time-shifted viewing in “live plus seven day” ratings.
 
* At 9 p.m. ET, “Grimm” (1.8/5 in 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall) captured its highest 18-49 and total-viewer results since November 4, “Grimm’s” second telecast.   Week to week, “Grimm” is up 29 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.8 from a 1.4) and up 27 percent or 1.3 million person in total viewers (5.904 million vs. 4.649 million).  This week’s “Grimm” built on its lead-in by 64 percent in 18-49 rating and 53 percent in total viewers.  Note that on average this season, “Grimm” originals have been adding 55 percent to their next-day “live plus same day” 18-49 rating when Nielsen reports additional time-shifted viewing in “live plus seven day” ratings.


* “Grimm” is tied for the #1 rating of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 with ABC’s “20/20.”  In the 9-10 p.m. hour, “Grimm” is #1 among those networks in adults, men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 25-54.
 
* At 10 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) grew from week to week by 8 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.3) and 4 percent in total viewers (5.466 million vs. 5.238 million).  “Dateline” is #2 among in the time period ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and other key demos.

* NBC finished #2 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and other key demos.

In late-night metered-market households Friday night:
* In Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, household results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 3.3/8; CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman,” 2.6/6; and ABC’s combo of “Nightline,” 3.6/8; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 1.7/5. 

* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 1.0/4; “Late Show,” 0.6/3; “Nightline,” 1.0/4; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 0.6/3.

* At 12:35 a.m., “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (2.0/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” (1.3/4).  In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Late Night” (0.7/4 in 18-49) topped “Late Late Show” (0.4/2).

* At 1:35 a.m., “Last Call with Carson Daly” averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
