NBC comedy line-up Thursday finished fourth place

At 8 p.m. ET, “Community” delivered a 1.8/5 in 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers overall in a highly competitive time period that included Fox’s “American Idol,” CBS’s “Big Bang Theory” and ABC’s “Winter Wipeout.” 


At 8:30 p.m. ET, “Perfect Couples” averaged a 1.5/4 in 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers overall, for a 7 percent gain week to week in 18-49 rating (1.5 vs. 1.4).  “Perfect Couples” retained 85 percent of its lead-in from “Community” in adults 18-49, the show’s top retention in three weeks (since January 20).
   
From 9-9:31 p.m. ET, “The Office” (3.6/9 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and finished #1 in adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos in a slot that includes competition from ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and CBS’s “CSI,” plus Fox’s “Bones,” which benefited from an “American Idol” lead-in.   
 
From 9:31-10 p.m. ET, “Parks and Recreation” (2.6/7 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall) is up week to week by 8 percent in 18-49 rating (2.6 vs. 2.4) and up 3 percent in total viewers (5.1 million vs. 4.9 million). 
 
From 10-10:31 p.m. ET, “30 Rock” (2.3/6 in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall) finished #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-34 and men 18-34 versus ABC’s “Private Practice” and CBS’s “The Mentalist.”  In its four weeks with originals in the 10-10:30 half-hour, “30 Rock” has generated NBC’s four highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period this season.
 
From 10:31-11 p.m. ET, “Outsourced” averaged a 1.7/5 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall.  In the time slot, “Outsourced” ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-34 and men 18-34.  In its four weeks in the 10:30 half-hour, “Outsourced” has generated NBC’s four highest 18-49 ratings in the time period this season.
