At 8 p.m. ET, “Community” averaged a 1.5/5 in 18-49 and 3.4 million viewers overall in a highly competitive time period versus Fox’s “X Factor,” “CBS’s “Big Bang Theory,” ABC’s “Charlie’s Angels” and CW’s “Vampire Diaries.” “Community” matched its average in last May’s sweep in adults 18-49 (1.5).
At 8:30 ET, “Parks and Recreation” (1.9/5 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall) built by 27 percent on its 18-49 lead-in from “Community” in a slot where NBC was on average flat last season versus original lead-ins from “Community.” “Parks and Recreation” is #2 in the half-hour among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-34 and men 18-34 versus Fox’s “X Factor,” CBS’s “How to Be a Gentleman” and ABC’s “Charlie’s Angels.”
From 9-9:31 p.m. ET, “The Office” (3.1/8 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall) is tied for #2 in the highly competitive time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and was #1 ahead of Fox’s “X Factor,” ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and CBS’s “Person of Interest” in adults 18-34, men 18-34 and men 18-49.
At 9:30 ET, “Whitney” (2.3/6 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) is tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW among men 18-34 in a highly competitive time period that includes the concluding half-hours of Fox’s “X Factor,” ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and CBS’s “Person of Interest.”
“Whitney” retained 74 percent of its lead-in from “The Office” in 18-49, up from last week’s 71 percent (74 percent in these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings) and 86 percent in total viewers, up from last week’s 81 percent (also 81 percent in the fast-affil ratings). In the fourth quarter last year, NBC averaged a 71 percent retention of original “Office” lead-ins in this slot among adults 18-49.
At 10 p.m. ET, “Prime Suspect” averaged a 1.5/4 in 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers overall, matching last week’s rating in adults 18-49. Versus NBC’s results in this hour on the same night last year, “Prime Suspect” is up 15 percent in 18-49 rating (1.5 vs.1.3) and up 33 percent in total viewers (4.928 million vs. 3.714 million).
“Prime Suspect” is #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
