NBC dominated Wednesday; 'America's Got Talent' #1

NBC is #1 for the night in total viewers and adults 25-54 (tie). At 8 p.m. ET, “Minute To Win It” averaged a 1.7/6 in 18-49 and 6.1 million viewers overall.  In the time period, “Minute To Win It” is #2 among the major networks in adults 25-54 and women 25-54.
 
From its first half-hour to its second, “Minute to Win It” increased by 19 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.6) and 21 percent or 1.2 million persons in total viewers (to 6.7 million from 5.5 million), the biggest increases among the major networks in the hour. 


At 9 p.m. ET, “America’s Got Talent” (2.5/7 in 18-49, 10.3 million viewers overall) scored the #1 result of the night in total viewers.  “America’s Got Talent” is #1 in the time period in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key ratings categories.

At 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” averaged a 1.4/4 in adults 18-49 and 6.2 million viewers overall.  Facing the special competition of ABC’s “CMA Musical Festival,” “SVU led the hour in total viewers (pending updates).

In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” was #1 in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (1.9 vs. 1.8 each for CBS’s “CSI: NY” and ABC’s “CMA Festival”), erasing a 16 percent advantage for the “CMA Festival” the prior half-hour (2.2 vs. 1.9).  “SVU” was also #1 or tied for #1 in the 10:30 half-hour in adults 18-49, men 25-54, women 25-54 and total viewers.
