NBC first Monday sweep pulls in 4th post; Late night ‘Jay Leno’ winner

At 8 p.m. ET, “Chuck” averaged a 1.9 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 5.3 million viewers overall.


At 9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of “Law & Order” delivered a 1.3/4 in 18-49 and 5.2 million viewers overall.  From its first half-hour to its second, the “Law & Order” encore increased its rating by 8 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 1.3), by 13 percent in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.5) and by 24 percent in women 25-54 (2.1 vs. 1.7).  “Law & Order” locked up NBC’s biggest overall audience in the time period since March 15.

At 10 p.m. ET, “Law & Order” averaged a 1.7/5 in 18-49 and 6.1 million viewers overall.  “Law & Order” captured NBC’s biggest overall audience in the time period since March 15.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (3.4/9 in metered-market households) out-delivered CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman” (2.8/7) and ABC’s combination of “Nightline (3.4/8) and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (1.6/5) in Nielsen’s 56 metered markets. 

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 1.1/5; “Late Show,” 0.9/4; “Nightline,” 1.1/5; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 0.6/3.

At 12:35 a.m., “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (1.5/5 in metered-market households) tied CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” (1.5/5).  In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Late Night” (0.6/3 in 18-49) topped “Late Late Show” (0.5/3).

At 1:35 a.m., an encore telecast of “Last Call with Carson Daly” averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
