Sarah Silverman’s upcoming comedy project has found a home at NBC for a pilot commitment. The project, based loosely on Silverman’s life, will feature her as a woman adjusting to single life after ending a decade-long relationship. She’s writing the single-camera project with Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder. They previously worked together on “The Sarah Silverman Program,” which ran for three seasons on Comedy Central before being canceled in 2010. Since then, Silverman has kept busy voicing a character on ‘Bob’s Burgers’ and appearing on ‘The Good Wife.’
The effort is being co-produced by Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox Television, following a bidding war that included ABC and Fox.
Silverman will co-executive produce with Sterling, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo.
