NBC had tough love Monday, 'Law-Order: LA' 3rd

At 8 p.m. ET, “Chuck” delivered a 1.4/4 in 18-49 and 4.1 million viewers overall.


At 9 p.m. ET, “The Event” averaged a 1.3/3 in 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall. 

From its first half-hour to its second, “The Event” grew by 8 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.2), 13 percent in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.5) and 15 percent in women 25-54 (1.5 vs. 1.3).

These “Event” results are likely to increase substantially when Nielsen issues “live plus seven day” results for the week of May 2-8 — through the season’s first 28 weeks, “The Event” gained an average 38 percent among adults 18-49 when going from “live plus same day” ratings to “live plus seven day,” the #4 increase for any primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW and the #1 increase for a first-year series.    

At 10 p.m. ET, “Law & Order: LA” (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall) grew week to week for a second straight week in 18-49 rating, up by 8 percent versus the prior week (1.4 vs. 1.3) and up 27 percent versus two week ago (1.4 vs. 1.1). 

From its first half-hour to its second, “Law & Order: LA” grew by 15 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.3) and by 11 percent in total viewers (5.1 million vs. 4.6 million), while rival dramas on ABC and CBS were declining half-hour to half-hour in both categories.
