NBC 'Law & Order' duo second place winner Wednesday

At 8 p.m. ET, “Undercovers” averaged a 1.3/4 in adults 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers overall.  Versus its prior telecast on November 10, “Undercovers” is up 8 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.2).  From its first half-hour to its second, this week’s “Undercovers” grew by 8 percent in adult 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.3), 14 percent in men 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.4) and 22 percent in men 18-34 (1.1 vs. 0.9).


At 9 p.m. ET, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (2.5/7 in adults 18-49, 9.2 million viewers overall) captured its highest adult 18-49 rating since October 20 and its biggest overall audience since September 29.  Versus its prior telecast on November 17, “Law & Order: SVU” is up 19 percent in 18-49 (to a 2.5 from a 2.1) and up 20 percent or 1.5 million persons in total viewers (9.196 million vs. 7.648 million).  Versus NBC’s slot averages last season, “Law & Order: SVU” is up 39 percent in adult 18-49 rating (2.5 vs. 1.8) and up 46 percent in total viewers (9.196 million vs. 6.278 million).

“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” finished within a tenth of a rating point of #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 (pending updates) and is #1 in men 18-49 and men 18-34. 

At 10 p.m., “Law & Order: Los Angeles” (2.2/6 in adults 18-49, 9.1 million viewers overall) won the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key categories (including a tie among women 18-34).  “Law & Order: LA” beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in total viewers (9.1 million vs. a combined 8.7 million).  Versus its prior telecast on November 17, “Law & Order: LA” is up 16 percent in 18-49 rating (2.2 vs. 1.9) and 16 percent or 1.3 million persons in total viewers (9.097 million vs. 7.841 million).  Versus the “L&O: LA” telecast before that, on November 10, this week’s edition is up 29 percent in 18-49 (2.2 vs. 1.7) and 34 percent or 2.3 million persons in total viewers (9.097 million vs. 6.801 million).

“Law & Order: LA” locked up its highest 18-49 rating since October 20 and its biggest overall audience since the series premiere on September 29. 

“Law & Order: Los Angeles” maintained its 18-49 rating from half-hour to half-hour while the competition on ABC and CBS both showed declines.  This marks the sixth time in seven telecasts “Law & Order: LA” has maintained or improved its 18-49 rating from half-hour to half-hour.
