NBC Local Media announced WNBC-TV President/GM Frank Comerford will take over all sales efforts for the division–all NBC Local Media, including the 10 NBC O&O TV stations, out-of-home sales and digital media sales. He’ll be replaced at the station by former KXAS-TV Dallas President/GM Tom O’Brien. WMAQ-TV President/GM Larry Wert also is being elevated to NBC Local Media as President of the central and western region, overseeing five NBC O&Os. Wert will still represent WMAQ and also KNBC-TV Los Angeles, KNTV-TV San Francisco, KNSD-TV San Diego and KXAS. New GMs for KXAS and WMAQ will soon be named.

All will report to John Wallace, NBC Local Media President. Wallace said the moves were the next step in their evolution as a local media business and allows them to become a full-service multiplatform media provider.
