NBC: “Off Their Rockers,” “Parenthood” #1 & #2 18-49

NBCNBC ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox Tuesday night in 18-49 as the 9:30 encore of “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” and “Parenthood” ranked as the #1 and #2 shows of the night on those networks.


*           From 8-10 p.m. ET, NBC aired encore telecasts of “Betty White’s

Off Their Rockers,” which averaged a 1.3/3 in 18-49 and 4.9 million

viewers overall at 8 p.m., a 1.5/4 in 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers

overall at 8:30, a 1.6/4 in 18-49 and 5.7 million viewers overall at 9

and a 1.8/4 in 18-49 and 5.7 million viewers overall at 9:30.  “Off

Their Rockers” tied for #1 in 18-49 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox at 8,

ranked #2 at 8:30, #1 at 9 and #1 at 9:30.

*           The 9:30 telecast of “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” set

series records for an encore in 18-49 and total viewers.  These are

the top four “Off Their Rockers” rebroadcasts ever in 18-49 and total

viewers.

*           Even counting originals, it’s the top “Off Their Rockers” in

18-49 since the show’s regular-slot debut last year (1.9 from 8-8:30

on Wednesday, April 4, 2012).  In total viewers, it’s the top

“Rockers,” original or encore, since April 25, 2012.

*           From 10-11 p.m. ET, “Parenthood” (1.7/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million in

total viewers) ranked #1 in the hour over encore drama competition on

ABC and CBS in 18-49 and all other key demographics.  “Parenthood” is

the #2 show of the night in 18-49 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, behind

the 9:30 “Off Their Rockers.”

*           Though it was the first “Parenthood” telecast in three weeks and

despite last night’s holiday distractions, “Parenthood” finished

within 15% of its prior telecast in 18-49 (1.7 vs. 2.0) and within 9

percent in total viewers (5.244 million vs. 5.735 million).

*           Keep in mind that last season, “Parenthood” originals added an

average of 47 percent to these next-day “live plus same day” ratings

in 18-49 when Nielsen reported “live plus seven day” results.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

*           In Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, household results were: “The

Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 2.1/5 with an encore telecast; CBS’s

“Late Show with David Letterman,” 2.1/5 with an encore; and ABC’s

combo of “Nightline,” 2.5/6; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 1.1/3 with an

encore.

*           In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results

were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.6/3 with an encore; “Late

Show,” 0.5/2 with an encore; “Nightline,” 0.7/3; and “Jimmy Kimmel

Live,” 0.3/1 with an encore.

*           At 12:35 a.m., “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (1.1/4 in

metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS’s “Late Late Show

with Craig Ferguson” (0.9/3 with an encore).  In the 25 markets with

Local People Meters, “Late Night” (0.4/2 in 18-49 with an encore)

topped “Late Late Show” (0.2/1 with an encore).

*           At 1:35 a.m., “Last Call with Carson Daly” averaged a 0.7/3 in

metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49

in the 25 markets with local people meters.
