From 8-10 p.m. ET, the second season debut of “The Sing-Off” (2.8 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49, 8.5 million viewers overall) set series records, topping the four telecasts from season one last December in 18-49 and total viewers. “The Sing-Off” delivered NBC’s highest 18-49 rating in the time period since September 20 and amassed the network’s biggest overall audience in the slot since the Winter Olympics in February.
Last night’s telecast is up versus the year-ago debut by 22 percent in 18-49 rating (2.8 vs. 2.3) and by 24 percent or 1.6 million persons in total viewers (8.543 million vs. 6.894 million).
Versus NBC’s time-period average for last season, this year’s “Sing-Off” debut is up 47 percent in 18-49 (2.8 vs. 1.9, non-sports “live plus same day”) and up 57 percent in total viewers (8.543 million vs. 5.425 million).
“The Sing-Off” ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and total viewers and #1 among women 18-34 and women 18-49.
At 10 p.m. ET, “Chase” captured a 1.5/4 in adults 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers overall. The 1.5 is “Chase’s” second-highest 18-49 rating since October 18. “Chase” maintained its 18-49 rating from half-hour to half-hour and grew by 9 percent among men 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.1).
