NBC repeats; ‘The Office’, ’30 Rock’; ‘Leno’ readies back to late-night

From 8-8:30 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of “Community” (1.6/5 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) is currently #2 among the major networks in the slot in men 18-34 and men 18-49.  In adults 18-49, the “Community” rebroadcast out-rated CBS’s original “Live for the Moment” and finished a tenth of a rating point behind ABC’s original “The Deep End.” 


From 8:30-9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of “Parks and Recreation” (1.6/4 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall) delivered the show’s highest 18-49 and total-viewer results to date for an encore telecast.  Last night’s “Parks and Recreation” retained 100 percent of its 18-49 lead-in from “Community” (pending updates).  “Parks and Recreation” is currently #2 or tied for #2 among the major networks in the half-hour in men 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54.

From 9-9:31 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of “The Office” (2.1/6 in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall) finished #2 among the major networks in the slot in adults 18-49, men 18-49, adults 18-34 and men 18-34, ahead of encores of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and CBS’s “CSI.”   In women 18-34, “The Office” encore is tied for #1 among the major networks.

From 9:31-10:01 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of “30 Rock” (1.7/5 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) is currently #2 among the major networks in the time period among adults, men and women 18-34.  These are the top results for a “30 Rock” encore in 18-49 and total viewers since January 29, 2009.

From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, “The Jay Leno Show” averaged of a 1.2/3 in adults 18-49, a 1.4/4 in adults 25-54 and 4.3 million viewers overall.  Last night’s competition in the time slot included CBS’s “The Mentalist” encore and ABC’s “Private Practice” rebroadcast. 

“The Jay Leno Show” is currently #2 or tied for #2 in the time period among the major networks in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos — men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

Comparisons with Jay Leno’s 2008-09 average at 11:35 p.m. ET on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” are: in adults 18-49, 1.2 vs. 1.4; in adults 25-54, 1.4 vs. 1.8; and in total viewers, 4.3 million vs. 5.1 million.  Comparisons with NBC’s Monday-through-Friday 10-11 p.m. ET non-sports averages over the 52 weeks prior to the “Jay Leno” debut are: in adults 18-49, 1.2 vs. 2.2; in adults 25-54, 1.4 vs. 2.7; and in total viewers, 4.3 million vs. 6.9 million.

In Late-Night Local People Meters Thursday night:
Conan O’Brien (0.8/3 in 18-49 in local people meters with an encore telecast) outscored CBS’s LATE SHOW (0.7/3 with an encore telecast) in Nielsen’s 25 local markets with People Meters.

At 12:35 a.m., Jimmy Fallon (0.5/3 in 18-49 in local people meters with an encore telecast) topped CBS’s first-run LATE LATE SHOW (0.4/3).
