NBC sees great Tuesday w/ 'America's Got Talent' and 'Parenthood'

From 9-10:03 p.m. ET, “America’s Got Talent” (3.8/10 in adults 18-49, 13.7 million viewers overall) hit a nine-week high in both adults 18-49 and total viewers (best since July 12), to score the #1 results of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. 


“America’s Got Talent” ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in all key categories — adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, as well as total viewers — plus teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.  From its first half-hour to its second, “Talent” grew by 11 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 4.0 from a 3.6) and by 7 percent in total viewers (14.1 million vs. 13.2 million).

Week to week, “America’s Got Talent” jumped 23 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.8 from a 3.1) and 14 percent or 1.8 million persons in total viewers (13.670 million vs. 11.849 million).

From 10:03-11:02 p.m., the third season debut of “Parenthood” (2.2/6 in adults 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC for the hour in adults 18-49, was well as adults, men and women 18-34; men and women 18-49; and adults and women 25-54.  “Parenthood” is up 5 percent versus the 2.1 in 18-49 its first-run episodes averaged last season in “live plus same day” Nielsens and up 20 percent in total viewers (6.290 million vs. 5.237 million)

“Parenthood” earned its second-biggest overall audience in the past year, placing behind only last season’s finale (6.319 million) among “Parenthood” telecasts since the year-ago season premiere on September 14, 2010. 

From 8-9 p.m. ET, “It’s Worth What?” averaged a 1.2/4 in 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers overall.  “It’s Worth What?” matched its highest 18-49 rating in seven weeks (since July 26)

NBC ranked #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and other key demos.
