From 8-10 p.m. ET, the premiere of “The Biggest Loser 12” delivered a 2.3/6 in 18-49 and 6.1 million viewers overall in a highly competitive time period that included Fox’s season premieres of “Glee” and “Raising Hope” and series premiere of “New Girl.”

CBS’s season premieres of “NCIS” and “NCIS: Los Angeles” and ABC’s debut of the “Dancing With the Stars” Results Show.  From its first half-hour to its fourth, “The Biggest Loser” increased by 9 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.4 from a 2.2).

At 10 p.m., “Parenthood” delivered a 2.1/6 in 18-49 and 5.3 million viewers overall against CBS’s series debut of “Unforgettable” and the season premiere of ABC’s “Body of Proof.”

Despite that competition, “Parenthood” is running within a tenth of a point of last week’s season-premiere rating in 18-49 (a 2.2) and matching last season’s average for original episodes (2.1, “live plus same day”).

In the time period, “Parenthood” currently runs within 0.8 of a rating point and 2 shares of #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and is #1 among those networks in adults 18-34.
