NBC Tuesday line-up w/ 'The Biggest Loser' struggling

From 8-10 p.m. ET, “The Biggest Loser 10” delivered a 2.4/7 in 18-49 and 6.8 million viewers overall.  In a time period that included competition from ABC’s “No Ordinary Family” and the “Dancing With the Stars” finale, Fox’s “Glee” and CBS’s “NCIS” and “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Biggest Loser” grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 30 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.6 from a 2.0).


At 10 p.m., “Parenthood” averaged a 1.9/5 in 18-49 and 4.5 million viewers overall).  Despite special competition from ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” finale, “Parenthood” is up week to week by 6 percent in 18-49 rating (1.9 vs. 1.8).  

These “Parenthood” results are likely to increase substantially when Nielsen issues “live plus seven day” results for the current week.  In L+7 averages for the season’s first six weeks, “Parenthood” is the #1 primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW in terms of percentage increase from L+SD to L+7 (+42% in adults 18-49, to a 2.96 rating from a 2.08).  In total viewers, “Parenthood” is also the #1 series in terms of percentage increase from L+SD to L+7 (+38% in persons 2+, to 7.0 million from 5.1 million).
