NBC two-hours of 'The Biggest Loser' built audience

From 8-10 p.m. ET, “The Biggest Loser: Couples” (2.7/8 in 18-49, 8.0 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in its two-hour time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and was #1 among adults 25-54.


From its first half-hour to its fourth, “Biggest Loser” grew by 39 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.2 from a 2.3) and by 32 percent or 2.3 million persons in total viewers (9.3 million vs. 7.0 million), to move into first place for its second hour from 9-10 p.m. ET among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key demos. 

At 10 p.m., an encore telecast of “America’s Next Great Restaurant” (1.6/5 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall) finished #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, women 18-49, adults 25-54, women 25-54 and adults, men and women 18-34 ahead of CBS’s rebroadcast of “The Good Wife” and ABC’s original “Detroit 1-8-7.”

In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, “America’s Next Great Restaurant” ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the key news demo of adults 25-54 with a 1.8 rating vs. a 1.7 each for ABC and CBS. “America’s Next Great Restaurant” ranked #1 or tied for #1 in the 10:30 half-hour in all key demographics.
