NBC wins 3rd straight night Sunday

NBCNBC is #1 Sunday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories, with the top-scoring Olympic-trials telecast since August 2000.  NBC also leads the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all other key ratings categories


NBC has been #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 for the last three nights in a row and has been #1 or tied for #1 on six of seven nights for the week.  In total viewers, NBC has been #1 outright on six of the week’s seven nights.

From 7-8 p.m. ET, the “U.S. Olympic Team Trials: Track & Field Finals” (1.4/5 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall) grew versus results in this hour on the prior Sunday by 17 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.2) and 24 percent or 1.1 million persons in total viewers (5.621 million vs. 4.540 million).  The 7-8 p.m. coverage led the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and other key categories.

From 8-9 p.m. ET, the “U.S. Olympic Team Trials: Swimming Finals” (2.1/7 in 18-49, 7.7 million viewers overall) is the #2 Olympic-Trials telecast since August 20, 2000 in total viewers, pending updates, behind only the night’s 9-11 p.m. coverage.  In adults 18-49, this is the #3 Olympic-trials telecast since August 20, 2000.  The 8-9 p.m. coverage ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.

From 9-11:05 p.m. ET, the “U.S. Olympic Team Trials: Gymnastics Women’s Final”  (3.2/9 in 18-49, 9.9 million viewers overall) is the top Olympic-Trials telecast since August 20, 2000 in both 18-49 and total viewers.  The gymnastics coverage led the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories

The 3.2 is NBC’s highest rating in the Sunday 9-11 time period since the Super Bowl.
