NBC wins Friday with Dateline up 20%

NBC was #1 in Friday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers with the #1 show of the night on those nets in all three categories, “Dateline NBC.”


•           “Dateline NBC” (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) jumped 20% week to week in 18-49 rating to its best result since August 16.  “Dateline” ranks #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers.  For the night, “Dateline” is the #1 telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers.

•           At 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall) captured NBC’s top 18-49 and total-viewer results in the half-hour in 10 weeks (since June 28, “Dateline NBC”).  In the time period, “Off Their Rockers” is #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and tied for #1 in adults 18-34 and 25-54.

•           At 8:30, a second rebroadcast of “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” (0.9/4 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall) generated NBC’s best 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time slot since June 28.  “Off Their Rocker” won the half-hour among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers and tied for #1 among those networks in adults 18-34.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:

•           In Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, household results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 2.5/6; CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman,” 2.0/5 with an encore; and ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 1.9/5 with an encore.

•           In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.8/4; “Late Show,” 0.5/2 with an encore; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 0.6/3 with an encore.

•           From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC’s “Nightline” averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

•           From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” (0.9/3).  In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Late Night” (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped “Late Late Show” (0.3/2).

•           At 1:35 a.m., “Last Call with Carson Daly” averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
