NBC's 'Grimm' won the 9pm hour Friday in adults 18-49

At 8 p.m. ET, “Chuck” averaged a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers overall.  “Chuck” grew from its first half-hour to its second by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.8).
 
At 9 p.m. ET, “Grimm” (1.8/5 in 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall) won the hour in adults 18-49, finishing #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW.  Despite facing original competition from CBS’s “CSI: NY” and Fox’s “Fringe” for the first time, “Grimm” finished #1 among those networks in men and women 18-49, adults 25-54, men 25-54, adults 18-34 (tie) and men 18-34 (tie). “Grimm” built on its lead-in by 125 percent in 18-49 rating and 92 percent in total viewers.


Versus NBC’s average in the time period last season, this week’s “Grimm” is up 38 percent in 18-49 rating (with a 1.8 vs. a 1.3, “live plus same day,” non-sports).  “Grimm” is also up 38 percent versus NBC’s rating in this time slot on the same night last year (1.8 vs. 1.3).

At 10 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” averaged a 1.2/4 in 18-49 and 4.1 million viewers overall.  From its first half-hour to its second, “Dateline NBC” grew in most key ratings categories, including gains of 9 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 1.1) and 13 percent in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.5).  “Dateline” was #2 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC ahead of ABC’s “20/20” in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key demos.
