This week, the contestants learn to invest in their future with financial expert Suze Orman, and “Biggest Loser” season eight champion Danny Cahill returns to the ranch for a motivational visit on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser: Couples,” airing Tuesday, April 13 (8-10 p.m. ET).
Host Alison Sweeney kicks off the episode with a pop challenge that finds the contestants piling quarters, each worth $10, on to platters, and then trying to balance the platters as long as they can to win the money they’re holding. Then financial guru Suze Orman stops by the ranch to talk to the contestants about their financial health, along with season eight winner Danny Cahill, who Orman predicted would win the show last season. It’s a wake-up call for many of them struggling with their personal finances, especially when Orman shares her prediction for who will win this season.
After Cahill works out with the players and motivates them with words of encouragement, the contestants are off to battle the elements and compete for the biggest prize so far this season. It’s a wild challenge in the pouring rain that finds players racing to find the right keys that will fit an unbelievable prize for two lucky contestants – brand new 2010 Mazda 3 cars!
Later, trainer Bob Harper takes the players outside for a workout in the mud, which leads to a wild mud-wrestling fight and a lively chase to bring trainer Jillian Michaels into the fray. Then it’s payback time as Michaels puts the contestants through a last chance workout they’ll never forget. Finally, two more players fall below the dreaded yellow line at weigh-in, and one more contestant is sent home.
