NBC's two-hour 'American Ninja Warrior' not hot


From 9-11 p.m. ET, pending updates, “American Ninja Warrior” (1.7 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49, 4.0 million viewers) scored NBC’s highest 18-49 rating in this time period in seven weeks (since July 4, also a 1.7 with “Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular”).

From its first half-hour to its fourth, “American Ninja Warrior” grew by 36 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.9 rating from a 1.4) and increased by 27 percent in total viewers (4.407 million vs. 3.480 million).

In its final hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, “American Ninja Warrior” ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in virtually all key demographics — adults, men and women 18-49, adults, men and women 18-34 and adults and men 25-54, as well as among teens 12-17 and kids 2-11,pending updates.

From 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of “America’s Got Talent” averaged a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall) filed the show’s top 18-49 rating among five telecasts in this slot so far this summer.
