NBC's two hours of 'The Biggest Loser' third-place

From 8-10 p.m. ET, “The Biggest Loser: Couples” (2.9/8 in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 21 percent in 18-49 rating (2.9 vs. 2.4) and 15 percent or 1.0 million persons in total viewers (8.098 million vs. 7.063 million) to claim the show’s highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in four weeks (since February 8). 


In the two-hour time period, “Biggest Loser” was #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and #1 among women 25-54.

From its first half-hour to its fourth, “Biggest Loser” grew by 31 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.4 from a 2.6) and by 27 percent or nearly 2.0 million persons in total viewers (9.2 million vs. 7.3 million) to move into first place for its second hour from 9-10 p.m. ET among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and such other key categories as adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and all key adult-female demos. 

At 10 p.m., an encore telecast of “Parenthood” averaged a 1.2/4 in 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall.  In the time period, “Parenthood” ranked #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and #1 in women 18-49, adults 18-34 and women 18-34.
