NBC's Wednesday star is 'Law -Order: SVU'

  At 10 p.m. ET, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (2.5/6 in adults 18-49, 8.3 million viewers overall) won the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, as well as men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34. 


“SVU” built on its lead-in by 150 percent in 18-49 rating and 144 percent in total viewers.  Versus its prior original telecast on April 6, “SVU” was up 4 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.5 from a 2.4) and up 0.3% in total viewers (8.312 million vs. 8.289 million)

From its first half-hour to its second, “SVU” grew in all key ratings categories, including increases of 13 percent in adult 18-49 rating (to a 2.6 from a 2.3), 15 percent in adults 25-54 (3.1 vs. 2.7) and 12 percent in total viewers (8.8 million vs. 7.8 million). 

In the 10:30 half-hour, “SVU” was #1 or tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in all key categories — adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. 
 
From 8-9 p.m. ET, “Minute To Win It” averaged a 1.0/3 in adults 18-49 and 3.4 million viewers overall in a highly competitive hour opposite Fox’s “American Idol,” CBS’s “Survivor” and ABC’s “The Middle.”  Versus its prior telecast in this time period on April 20, “Minute” ticked off gains of 25 percent in 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 0.8) and 8 percent in total viewers (3.380 million vs. 3.121 million).

At 9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of “Minute To Win It” averaged a 1.0/3 in adults 18-49 and 3.4 million viewers overall in another competitive hour opposite Fox’s “American Idol” and “Breaking In,” CBS’s “Criminal Minds” and ABC’s “Modern Family.” 

From its first half-hour to its second, the 9 p.m. “Minute” encore grew in all key ratings categories, including gains of 50 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 0.8) and 54 percent or nearly 1.5 million persons in total viewers (4.1 million vs. 2.7 million).   Versus its prior telecast in this time period on April 20, last night’s 9 p.m. encore of “Minute” was up 25 percent in 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 0.8) and 14 percent in total viewers (3.410 million vs. 2.991 million).
