NECN, WTKK sign news deal

Beginning 4/18 NECN, New England’s News Station will simulcast an hour and a half of its morning news programming on Greater Media’s Boston Talker WTKK-FM. Jim and Margery, WTKK’s morning show featuring Jim Braude and Margery Eagan, continues at 6:00 a.m. As a lead-in, simulcasting of NECN’s “First Thing in the Morning” will begin each day from 4:30 to 5:00 a.m. and a full hour of NECN Morning will follow from 5 to 6:00 a.m.


NECN’s morning news is anchored by Kristy Lee, Erick Weber and features Meteorologist Danielle Niles. NECN’s coverage will include up-to-the-minute information on the latest news, weather, traffic, sports and live reports from the field on the major stories of the day.

NECN is the largest regional news network in the country, serving more than 3.7 million homes in more than 1,000 cities and towns throughout New England. Launched in 1992, NECN is owned by Comcast and provides 24-hour access to breaking news, sports, weather, and traffic.
