Need help seeing things a little differently?

Alison LoweryRecently, I attended my first Techonomy Conference.  Beyond the awesome venue, Dove Mountain outside of Tucson, Arizona, Techonomy was the place to participate in conversations with smart people thinking about many of the big problems of the day and the trends of tomorrow.

Techonomy’s goal is to facilitate conversations about the role of technology in social progress, the pace of change and what it means for everyone.  This conference certainly achieved that goal.  The agenda included discussions about digital and biotech trends, global urban renewal and development, nano-satellites, and the ongoing technology, civic and political community conversation.   I expected to come away feeling challenged and enlightened, but I also found the conference to be incredibly relevant. Below are highlights of three topics that had an immediate impact on me.
