A Massachusetts-based broadcast technology company known for products used in the production of live and local programming, including radio station remotes, is presently putting the spotlight on three featured products — an audio IP codec, an IP audio gateway, and a video over IP and bonded cellular solution.

ACCESS NX is the latest audio IP codec in Comex’s ACCESS line.

Meanwhile, Opal is Comrex’s new IP audio gateway, while LiveShot is its video-over IP and bonded cellular solution.

ACCESS NX’s arrival is, in Comrex’s words, “the result of a decade of IP audio transmission advancements and is refined for the ultimate remote experience.”

Its best use is in ENG, sports announcing, talk show hosting, and community outreach, Comrex says.

ACCESS NX runs on CrossLock, Comrex’s custom reliability layer that enables both error correction and network bonding.

Comrex Opal provides near-studio quality audio by leveraging equipment such as smartphones and laptops. It is optimized when coordinating call-ins with guests who have no technical experience.

LiveShot delivers high-quality, low-latency video and audio over a range of IP networks, and is capable of providing two-way media simultaneously.

The products will be displayed by Comrex at the upcoming IBC2017 in Amsterdam, set from Sept. 15-19.
