They jointly announced that all Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, SRT, Fiat, and Mopar customers will receive a one-year SiriusXM subscription when purchasing any 2014 model year vehicle with a satellite radio-equipped Uconnect System. The subscription includes every premium channel available, plus access to SiriusXM Internet Radio.
Uconnect can provide wireless Internet connectivity in any Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep vehicle, via a wi-fi hot-spot. Uconnect also includes a Bluetooth network allowing voice activated calling on cell phones, a hard drive for media storage, a Sirius TV and satellite radio system and a GPS system.
Uconnect also allows:
–Locking your door from hundreds of miles away
–Using your voice to send a text or to find top-rated places via Yelp.
–911 access
–Alarm notifications by text or email.
“With SiriusXM’s expanded channel lineup available via satellite in more vehicles from Chrysler Group, even more drivers and passengers will get access for the first time ever to an even deeper variety of commercial-free music, comedy, and live sports, along with the ability to listen outside of the vehicle with access to SiriusXM Internet Radio,” said Steve Cook, EVP/Sales and Automotive, SiriusXM.
The expanded channel lineup is made available through SiriusXM’s newest technology that delivers greater satellite bandwidth while maintaining the broadcast quality. The new technology is part of SiriusXM’s previously discussed 2.0 rollout of technology, software, and hardware.
