New Leadership At BET

The Viacom-owned network made the announcement Thursday. Michael D. Armstrong takes over as general manager of BET Networks. Jeanine Liburd has been appointed chief marketing and communications officer, a new role at BET, and Donna Blackman is now senior vice president of business operations.


Currently executive vice president and general manager of revenue and emerging brands for Viacom International Media Networks, Armstrong will assume his new role in July and be based in New York. He will report to BET Networks chairman and CEO Debra L. Lee.
