Arbitron has announced that plans to bring PPM into operation in the New Orleans market late this year have been suspended, and that it will continue providing ratings using the diary method.
The introduction of PPM has been suspended indefinitely, until further notice.
Arbitron said the reason for the delay is to allow local radio broadcasters time to continue rebuilding their operations in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
