SoldKXLI-FM approaches the Las Vegas market from the northeast and has a relationship with another station in the same area. A buyer has stepped forward for the station and the relationship.

The station is licensed to Moapa NV. It’s a Class C on 94.5 MHz with 93 kW @ 2,090’. It’s primary contour gets up close to the urbanized portion of Las Vegas but is not a full-market signal. It also makes it to St. George UT to the east.

The seller is Aurora Media LLC, headed by Scott G. Mahalick.

Radio Activo Broadcasting, headed by Eric Palacios, is the buyer.

The KXLI relationship with KYLI-FM will carry over to the new owner – Palacios will have 30 days to look over shared contracts. KYLI is licensed to Bunkerville NV, and operates on 96.7 MHz with a contour congruent with that of KXLI.

The price is $3M, with Kozacko Media Services holding a $50K escrow deposit which will apply to a $500K cash payment at closing. The remaining $2.5M will be accounted for via a promissory note. Kozacko’s George Kimble brokered the deal.

The station plays active rock. Mahalick commented, “We’re confident under new local ownership, Radio Activo can take this station to the next level.”
