New SF outlet for Azteca

Azteca America announced that Granite Broadcasting has signed on as its new affiliate in San Francisco, broadcasting the Spanish network as a full-time digital multicast channel for KBWB-DT. The new affiliate replaces KTNC-TV, one of the five stations where Pappas Telecasting discontinued Azteca America programming over the weekend (4/3/07 TVBR #65). Azteca America is now being broadcast over the air on channel 20.4, on DirecTV channel 42 and on two Comcast channels, basic digital channel 196 or Hispanic tier channel 620 in the San Francisco market.
