Shine Group, acquired earlier this year by News Corporation, announced a deal to have EMI Music Publishing handle the music publishing rights related to Shine’s TV programs. The new deal expands on a previous relationship to include all Shine companies worldwide.

EMI Music Publishing will now mange Shine’s library of owned music for all Shine Group companies including Reveille in the US, Metronome Group in Scandinavia, Shine Australia, Shine France and Shine Germany. Included is music from such shows as “MasterChef” and “One Born Every Minute.”

“Their expertise, scale and professional approach make them the perfect partners with which to realize the full potential of our owned music on a group level and to build upon our library,” Shine Group president Alex Mahon said of EMI.

“We’re particularly excited about building the Shine production music library, as this will be not only an effective internal resource for them but will also in tandem further strengthen the EMI production music offering to our existing clients worldwide,” said EMI EVP of media and business development Jonathan Channon.

EMI is currently owned by Citigroup.
