With the launch of the three-hour WGN America nightly newscast NewsNation a key talking point and local broadcast and digital news consumption strong across the quarter, Nexstar Media Group — the nation’s biggest broadcast TV station company — has good reason to be highly pleased with its Q3 results.
It was a “record” quarter, company founder and Chairman/CEO Perry Sook said on his company’s pre-opening bell earnings call conducted Thursday.
The positive earnings report brought a needed spark to Nexstar’s suddenly sputtering stock.
