The next EAS deadline for stations is Friday, August 26.
Are you ready?
There are a few steps stations must undertake to prepare for the next national EAS test, now slated for September 28. In order to report whether your station received and was able to pass on the alert, your personnel must use the new EAS Test Reporting System.
This is an online system; the commission will not accept paper copies this time.
Stations must fill out Form One by August 26; you’ll have until September 26 to make any corrections.
After the test, stations must fill out Form Two, which is a Day of Test Reporting, within a few hours of the test. Detailed Test Reporting, or Form Three, is due November 14.
The alert will use a new national nationwide test event code and the message will be transmitted in English and Spanish.
