With the passage of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2019, “Section 1085” was enacted. This amended the Communications Act to add “Section 722,” which requires every “U.S.-based foreign media outlet” to submit reports every 6 months to the Commission regarding the outlets’ relations to their foreign principals.
The deadline for the next “NDAA” report to the Commission is one month away.
