Dish Network announced an out-of-court settlement with the NFL Network to continue carriage and resolve their litigation. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the NFL Network will not move to a better tier.
The fledgling cable network had sued after Dish moved it from one tier to another, resulting in the loss of millions of subscribers – and the fees they bring to a network provider. More than a year later, the dispute has been settled.
The NFL Network will remain on Dish’s Classic Silver 200 programming package, where it has been since the tier downgrade. No other terms were disclosed. Everyone says they are happy with the settlement.
