NJBA Presses Wheeler on FM Chip

Paul RotellaNew Jersey Broadcasters Association President/CEO Paul Rotella wrote a letter to FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler reminding him of the critical role played by AM and FM radio in times of emergency, and suggested Wheeler do something to make it widely-available.


The suggestion is a no-brainer – simply require that FM chips in mobile devices be activated. He said it was akin to requiring air bags and seat belts in automobiles.
