WNWV-FM Elyria OH is being sold by long-time owner Elyria-Lorain Broadcasting, a local multi-media operation that also has long experience in the newspaper business. Another local group, Rubber City Radio, is picking up the station and adding it to its Akron trio.

According to Dick Foreman of Richard A. Foreman Associates, Inc., WNWV is an AAA outlet operating with a full Class B signal, equipped with 20 kW off a 813’ HAAT tower on 107.3 MHz. The price has not been revealed.

Rubber City, headed by CEO Thomas Mandel, owns Akron OH trio WQMX(FM), WONE(FM) and WAKR(AM).

WNWV gets into Akron, but is a bit more of a ratings factor in the Cleveland. Country WQMX-FM 97.5, Rock WONE-FM 94.9 and Oldies WAKE-AM 1590 also pick up listeners in Cleveland, but are among the top stations in their home Akron digs.
