Northwestern College expands into Kansas City

SoldReligious noncom radio group Northwestern College operates stations in six Midwestern radio markets – and now it’s digging deep into its bank account to add a seventh. The station is KLJC-FM.

Northwestern, headed by Alan S. Cureton, will pay $6.25M cash for the station, including a $1.5M escrow deposit.

The station is a robust Class C1 on 88.5 MHz with 100 kW @ 745′. The signal is well-centered over the Kansas City urban area, as it should be since Kansas City MO is the station’s city of license.

Northwestern College operates stations in its home market of Minneapolis-St. Paul, as well as in Duluth MN, Des Moines IA, Waterloo IA, Madison WI, Sioux Falls SD and Fargo ND.
