Noted black entrepreneur launches Business Talker on CBS/DC

Fortune 100 companies want him on their boards. Former President George H. W. Bush asked him to lead a commission on business development. Now, radio listeners all over the world can hear Joshua I. Smith, a nationally renowned entrepreneur and lecturer. “Biz Talk with Josh” debuted Sunday, July 6. In this live show, Smith interviews high-profile guests, take calls from listeners and share knowledge gained over a career as a successful businessman.


Biz Talk with Josh airs on CBS Radio, WPGC-AM 3 p.m. ET on Sundays. John Deadwyler, the station’s operations manager, noted that although the show can only be heard over the airwaves in the greater Washington, D.C., area, listeners can tune in live from anywhere in the world via the Internet. Biz Talk With Josh will be featured via live audio streaming as it airs each week on heaven1580am.com. 

Smith serves on the board of directors of Caterpillar, Inc.; FedEx Corp.; and Allstate Insurance Corp. Most recently, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Business Advisory Board of Sodexho, Inc., and the United Methodist Church Foundation. Additionally, the Governor of the State of Maryland appointed Mr. Smith to the Board of the Maryland Small Business Development Financing Authority.
