Registration is open for Nautel’s NUG@NAB Radio Technology Forum, which will be held Sunday, April 7 at the Flamingo Las Vegas.

This year’s highlight: a panel presentation on the “Future of AM.”

That will be joined by a session on how to set up streaming, Nautel’s “Tips ‘n Tricks” for broadcast engineers, and a presentation on “What not to miss at NAB.”

The NUG@NAB meeting will run from 9am to 12:30pm, followed by a complimentary hot lunch for attendees. This event is being presented at no charge; anyone interested in broadcast transmission technologies is welcome to attend. Seating is limited; pre-registration is required.

“Our annual event has expanded to be much more than a User Group meeting,” Nautel President/CEO Kevin Rodgers said. “In recent years we have had well over 300 broadcasters in attendance, and our early registration numbers for this year suggest that this year may be the largest yet. A key factor that makes NUG@NAB valuable is our decidedly non-sales approach that focuses on transmission technology and best practices in installing and maintaining transmitter sites.”

New for this year’s event is tbe panel discussion on the future of AM. Guests include:

  • Mike Cooney, CTO and EVP of Engineering, Beasley Media Group
  • Martin Stabbert, VP of Engineering, Townsquare Media and chair of the NRSC AM & FM Analog Broadcasting Subcommittee
  • Mike Raide, Senior Manager, Broadcast Technology at Xperi
  • David Kolesar, Senior Broadcast Engineer, Hubbard Radio of Washington, D.C.

Nautel’s Ted Nahil will host the panel.

Nautel Regional Sales Engineer Jeff Welton, an SBE award winning educator and popular ‘Tips ‘n Tricks’ presenter, will host the NUG@NAB Radio Technology Forum.
