NYT calls for end to Cruz FCC stall

Tom WheelerOnce again, confirmation of nominees to the FCC is on ice because of one disgruntled senator. This time, the New York Times is calling on the colleagues of Ted Cruz (R-TX) to pressure him so Tom Wheeler and Michael O’Rielly can get to work.


NYT believes that important FCC work is being held up due to understaffing on the FCC’s 8th Floor. In particular, it mentions the need to keep moving forward on the incentive auction of television spectrum to increase space for wireless broadband.
