ABC got only a small ratings boost by airing “Pushing Daisies” while its three major rivals all carried a 30-minute political infomercial by Barack Obama on Wednesday. Fox, with what proved to be the finale of the World Series following the political ad, won the night handily with an overnight 8.8 rating and 13 share. CBS was at 7.7/12, NBC 4.8/4 and ABC 4.5/7, although ABC did claim 3rd place in the 18-49 demo as “Pushing Daisies” saw its audience increase by 16% from last week in the young demo.
The Nielsen Company provided this tally of how each network scored with each carrying the very same programming.
