Olympic win for NBC

0

“Must See TV” is back for NBC, even if the Vancouver Winter Olympics will be a loss-leader for the network to the tune of a quarter billion bucks. The first three days of the Olympics boosted NBC to a ratings win across the board, with the Opening Ceremonies the most watched show of the week, although beaten in 18-49 by both nights of “American Idol” on Fox.

In Households, NBC scored an average 8.9 rating and a 14 share according to data from The Nielsen Company. CBS was at 6.5/10, followed by Fox 5.8/9, ABC 4.1/7, Univision 1.8/3, CW 1.2/2, Ion 0.7/1, Telemundo and TeleFutura 0.5/1 and Azteca America 0.1/0.

NBC won in 18-49 at 4.7/13, with Fox at 3.6/10, CBS 2.9/8, ABC 2.2/6, Univision 1.4/1, CW 0.8/2, TeleFutura and Telemundo 0.5/1, Ion 0.3/1 and Azteca America 0.1/0.

Here are the week’s top 20 shows.
