It’ll almost be like the Three Bears – when Elkhorn Media Group closes on its acquisition of KVBL-FM Union OR, its FM trio will feature a Class C, a Class C1 and a Class C2. The stations are in the northeastern part of the state.

The buyer, officially, is KVBL LLC. A number of investors are in on the deal, led by 51% stakeholder Randolph McKone and including Colleen Kaseberg, Victoria Gandy, Joseph Costello and Debra McKone.

The seller is Thomas D. Hodgins’ Xana Oregon.

The price is $350K. $150K will be paid in cash at closing, and the rest will be paid over ten years pursuant to terms of a promissory note. MCH Enterprises brokered the deal and will receive compensation from both the buyer and the seller.

KVBL-FM is a country outlet, and will be the junior station in the trio. The Class C2 is on 103.1 MHz with 950 W @ 2,520’.

Also using a country format is Class C KCMB-FM, broadcasting form 104.7 MHz with 100 kW @ 1,745’.

The other station is Class C1 KWRL-FM, an AC outlet on 99.9 MHz with 25 kW @ 1,657’.
