Throughout much of the first half of 2018, Republican FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly has spoken out on the need for more enforcement power to silence once and for all the pirate radio broadcasters plaguing the FM airwaves in South Florida, greater Boston, the Tri-State Area of New York, and a few other communities across the U.S.
He’s also been vocal about his belief that the nation’s children’s educational programming rules need a major overhaul.
A Democratic Senator from Massachusetts has just emerged as O’Rielly’s No. 1 opponent on the issue, which O’Rielly wants to bring to a full Commission vote by the end of the year.
