Outdoor Channel plans action-packed Q3

Even before the fall television season, Outdoor Channel is launching new shows and debuting new shows from its successful series. In addition to lots of outdoor action, the channel is emphasizing conservation, responsibility and respect for the great outdoors.

Season Debuts:

Benelli’s American Safari – Sundays at 2:30 p.m. ET
“Benelli’s American Safari” host Steve McKelvain teams up with a variety of guests to travel to top hunting spots around the world. From Botswana’s incredible game-filled Okavango Delta to the waterfowl-packed marshes near Mazatlan, from Mexico’s beautiful beaches to the spectacular plains and prairies of the great Western USA, “Benelli’s American Safari” is THE hunting adventure destination.

Beretta’s Wild & Raw – Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET & Sundays at 6:30 p.m. ET
“Beretta’s Wild and Raw” is a half-hour action-packed show featuring the larger-than-life personalities of author/Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell and multiple world and national shooting champion Scott Robertson. Together their competitive instincts, intensity and camaraderie make them a force to be reckoned with in outdoor television!

Deer City USA – Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. ET
This innovative show, hosted by Steve Gruber, features hunting for trophy deer within the city limits of metro locations such as Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati and Columbus, providing a whole new way to look at trophy deer hunting. With the help of “The American Archer” Tom Nelson, Whitetail Pro Adam Hays and other skilled hunters from around the country, viewers embark on an urban adventure. Destination: Deer City USA.

Destination Polaris – Mondays at 9:30 p.m. ET

Driven TV– Sundays at 9:00 a.m. ET
Join Pat Reeve and Nicole Jones for “Driven TV,” a gripping hunting series filled with passion. Premiering exclusively on Outdoor Channel, hosts Pat and Nicole are driven whitetail hunters who live and breathe hunting. With a team of big buck driven pro-staffers behind them, they have just one goal: hunt hard and try to capture the best footage possible in fair chase hunting conditions.

Benelli Presents Duck Commander – Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. ET & Sundays at 8:00 a.m. ET
With a cult-like following throughout the country, and known for their high-action DVDs, cutting-edge calls and duck-hunting knowledge, the “Duck Commanders” are coming to Outdoor Channel. “Duck Commander” Phil Robertson and the rest of the Louisiana Duckmen bring top-notch entertainment to each and every episode.

Ducks Unlimited – Thursdays at 11:30 p.m. ET, Sundays at 7:30 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. ET
Outdoor Channel has partnered with Ducks Unlimited, a world leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation, to produce a series that is sure to be the leading voice for conservation efforts and a model for natural resource management. Travel with hosts Wade Borne, Jared Brown and Mike Checkett as they hunt and explore the foremost flyways of Canada, the United States and Mexico. Pick up useful tips on shooting, hunting, cooking and dog training.

Field & Stream Outdoor Icons – Fridays at 6:30 p.m. ET, Saturday at 10 a.m. ET & Sundays at 3:30 p.m. ET
“Field and Stream Outdoor Icons” is a new original documentary series founded on showcasing some the most influential and engaging personalities in the history of outdoor TV. In each episode, a select Outdoor Channel icon, including the likes of Michael Waddell, The Drury Brothers and Bill Jordan, reveals his or her personal side and shares their journey with the viewer.

Full Frame – Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. ET
Go beyond the lens and behind the scenes with the Mossy Oak Camo cameras in the only show that lets you see the “Full Frame.” Watch as ten of the best field producers in the business, straight off the road at the end of a long hunting season, team up in pairs to do a little hunting of their own, all on one tract of land in southern Alabama. “On Your Own Adventures” is the first of its kind – a hunting show that portrays realities for the average hunter: No guide, no outfitters, no high fences, all on accessible lands. As some would say, “Real Hunting.” Bringing a unique dose of authenticity to the world of hunting TV, the series teaches viewers to savor the journey and not to measure successes by the size of antlers or the netting of scores and inches.

The Best Defense: Survival – Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET & 11:00 p.m. ET
“The Best Defense: Survival” is the exciting new spin-off survival show hosted by Michael Bane, joined by industry veterans Michael Janich and Rob Pincus, teaching knowledge, preparation and awareness. It features survival methods to control and avoid perilous situations of all types. The hosts travel across the U.S., visiting law enforcement academies and military training facilities where special guests and experts demonstrate life-saving techniques for self-defense.
